Maths and Computer Science

Maths

The mathematics curriculum has been designed to enable pupils to build a strong foundation upon which problem-solving skills are developed. This is in accordance with the updated National Curriculum. We aim to ensure all pupils have a secure sense of number and build their mathematical background knowledge throughout their journey at GEA. Topics are ordered so that prerequisite skills, for future topics, are acquired and re-visited, enabling them to be interwoven with new skills and knowledge. Pupils recieve consistent feedback, enabling them to improve, and are summatively assessed at the end of every half-term.
